the cool suit lean by Matt Moseman

a man in a suit waits
along my usual route
along the outer side
of the wall.

at first he faces away from me
obviously pretending to be on phone
there is no second glance from him,
he hears me come
and he watches me go.

pretending to be on phone

Why no article? Is it a vernacular I can't hear?

I like the story that isn't told here.

i love the hint of paranoia in this.

my only suggestion is to remove "obviously"
if it's obvious, show me.

the poem creates an image very well.
