FAQ > Formatting > How do I format a link in an opening post?
In the Editor dialog box, there are four icons after the word "add:" at the top left of the text entry box. The first one, which is supposed to look like a fence link, is for creating links.
Copy the url you wish to link
type some text in your opening post that will be what someone would click on to activate your link
Highlight that text you just typed
click the first icon after "add:" which is for adding links
a dialog box should come up, where you paste in the target url
save and close
you should now see hyper text in your opening post.
Click your cursor anywhere in the hyper text, and "Link/test url/edit/remove" options should pop up.
I usually test the url, before posting.
Finish creating your post, save and close
